I purchased these for my 2-year-old daughter for Christmas. She got a lot, and I mean a lot, of new stuff for Christmas, but this has been the most played with toy she received. Yes, it says ages 3+, but I feel confident giving these to her as she does not throw them or chew on them. They are of great quality. The edges are straight, something important in building blocks. They can be stacked well, fitting on top of each other without getting unnecessarily tipsy.
There is some extra packaging in the box, which means there is extra room. I was afraid that I would not be able to get them back into the box and would have to find somewhere to store them. These easily go back into the box without having to carefully place them in. That is an added bonus and something I thought needed mentioning. I don't know how long the box will end up lasting, but it works perfectly for us right now.
I can see myself buying these as a present for any child in the future. No one can own too many blocks, and these are good, quality ones.

Bought these for my son. He spends hours building "pig castles",(from Angry Birds). He tears them down and begins again. There are so many different ways he builds with these. These were added to existing blocks so he could ,"build bigger castles". These integrated very smoothly with his existing set of blocks. My kid has ADHD and these blocks will keep him still and focused for hours.

Awesome and fun wooden building blocks. They are a little smaller than I thought they would be but my kids love them. I like how it comes with many different shapes and colors because we can build so much and do learning activities with them such as building with only one color or each "story" has its own color, etc. Hours of fun learning with these blocks!

While I was surprised by how small these blocks are, I found that they are the perfect size for small hands. My kids build all kinds of fun things with these blocks, houses and towers especially. The like to use them to build race tracks for cars and trains also. I got them for my 1 1/2 year old son, but my 5 and 7 year old daughters both enjoy playing with them as well. I would suggest purchasing 2 cases of blocks, since they are very small. 100 isn't actually that many blocks. My only gripe with these is the box. I liked it at first because it has a carry handle and would store well, but the box broke at the glued side seam without much force being applied to the box. I will be purchasing a basket for them instead. The blocks themselves are great quality, nice and sturdy wood that doesn't splinter if gnawed on, nor does the paint come off easily from chewing. I would definitely purchase these again to add to our blocks and would definitely gift them to any mom. Great for grandparents too, since they don't take up much room.

These are very boldly colored and are just right for a 9-18 month old baby's fist. The popular plastic building blocks, though made for this age, cannot be built by someone under 2; at least none of my 7 children did. They could only take them apart after some frustration and closer to the age of 18 mo to 2 yr. Babies can at least stack a couple of these by age 9-12 months. These are much more fun to knock down. No frustrations with lack of strength or dexterity issues. As they pick up blocks, the parent can call out the colors and shapes. They absorb this knowledge like a sponge before they may be able to speak it.

High quality blocks. The bigger pieces are about the length of an adult index finger. Bright colors, doesn't chip, made of wood. You won't be able to use the box as storage once you unpack it, btw, so just get a shoebox size plastic bin and they fit perfectly. I might buy a second set just so my son can build larger structures.
Campbell A.
I love these blocks! They are perfect. I was looking for blocks where all the pieces were painted and this was the only set I found. All other sets had some or all the blocks in wood color. I wanted blocks that could allow my child to sort by shape and by color and to build vividly colorful creations. The blocks are just the right size for little and big hands. The pieces are smaller than I had initially wanted, and I was worried by some of the reviews commenting on size. However I found these are just the right size. They are perfect for baby hands to hold and encourage dexterity and attention to detail for older children. I didn't find any flaws in the pieces and all were smooth and nicely painted.

Product arrived in time as promised.
Packaging - All the individual units in a plastic pouch are packed in a cardboard box that also can be used as a storage box with a little plastic handle. It was shipped along with other items in a sturdy shipping box.
What is Good About It
These are colored wooden blocks of different shapes and sizes. Rectangles, cubes, cylinders, semi cylinders and scooped in rectangles. Wood is well finished with no sharp ends / edges or burrs colored to a vibrant appearance. It is very useful for a kid to learn about shapes , sizes and to improve child's motor skills ,hand-eye coordination, spatial skills, creativity, divergent thinking and social skills. Moreover, kids can integrate their own constructions into pretend play scenarios. There is also evidence that complex block-play is linked with advanced math skills in later life. The blocks do have vibrant colors which makes it more interesting for kids. Those colors are supposed to be safe for children ( As claimed by manufacturer).
What is not so Good about it
Nothing in particular however, the storage box is very delicate. You may want to use something else for storing the blocks instead of the retail box.
Bottom Line
These toys help children in many ways developing their over all skills and analytical ability. This product is well worth every penny.
Would I recommend this product to a friend ?
Yes, I would.

I remember when I was looking into buying blocks for my 2 year old daughter - these were in the running but I ended up reading a review on the M&D 60 piece standard unit blocks, that said more or less to skip getting these and go right for the more expensive set, that you wouldn't be sorry. I followed their suggestion and was super pleased w my purchase. That block set has been used for 2 years and has a ton of life left in it. The weight is heavy and the blocks are smooth and very well made. They're worth every penny and are fantastic for building even though my kid's hands are small. Now, fast forward 2 years and I have a now 2 year old and a 4 year old. We were looking for another set of blocks for the kids to enjoy...I instantly knew to re-visit this set and am very pleased once again! These are much smaller than the 60 piece standard unit set, and are brightly colored. The weight to them is also much lighter, making it a little harder for them to be as sturdy when tall towers are being built. But, our family still thinks they are fantastic! I don't think I would be as happy if I had ordered this set as a first and only set, but I think it's a great 2nd set and I can't see any child being disappointed w it! It provides hours of fun for my children and as w all M&D toys, the quality is fantastic and will be in great condition while we enjoy it!

We bought this for Christmas for our baby. He's 10 months old now, and he just LOVES this set. His 10 year old brother and their dad play a game with it. They stack block towers and the baby squeals and crawls over to knock them down. Everyone has a blast. They've held up really well to being put in a drooly baby mouth. They're not small enough to easily be swallowed, but I only let the baby play with the smaller pieces while being supervised. The semicircles and small triangle pieces are still a little small and I think a very determined baby could wedge them in their mouth enough to upset themselves. The rule of thumb for choking hazards (according to our son's pediatrician) is that if it fits in a toilet paper roll, it's a possibility they can choke on it. I took a photo to show that all the pieces can fit in a TP roll, but as long as you're supervising there shouldn't be any issue. We love this block set, and would definitely buy it for others with little ones.

My sister gave us this Melissa and Doug Block Set before our first son was born. It has been used by roughly 50 kids in the last three years and it still looks new (minus the one that our youngest teethed on).
Glass S.
A perfect block set and a great value. The quality of Melissa & Doug products is superb and these blocks were no exception. My nephew loves them and will last long enough for his brother to get use out of them too! The set comes with enough pieces that even if they lose a few there are plenty to go around. Also there is enough that you can divide them up to avoid "fights". The only drawback my brother-in-law isn't happy about stepping on a rouge pointy block :)

I bought these blocks for my 3 year old grandson for Christmas 2009. My daughter actually thought that these were "old fashioned," but guess what--over a month later and out of all of the toys he received, what does he play with EVERY SINGLE DAY? Yes, the blocks. When his cousins visit they, too, head for the blocks. These blocks are durable and lead free and are brightly colored and attractive.
Some of the concepts that can be taught with these blocks: colors, color grouping, , numbering, AND let's not forget that stacking these blocks develop coordination and through trail and error a child learns what will and will not work. My grandson has learned that if he wants to build a tall tower he must make sure his foundation is sturdy and that the blocks are stacked evenly. He's used mega legos since he was a one year old and I initially thought that since the new blocks didn't snap together he might get frustrated. Not so!
Great fun for the whole family! Highly recommended.

I was excited to get these wooden blocks in the mail. I love Melissa and Doug products because they are very durable and good quality material. Seeing these blocks reinforced my faith in Melissa and Doug products. These are made of a very durable wood that do no splinter easily unless put under a lot of pressure (biting/chewing on). The paint on these blocks is coated very thick so that they won't peel.
My only gripe (and it's minor) about these blocks are the size of them. For some reason I was expecting them to be a bit bigger in size than they are. Parents with younger children should heed caution when smaller children are playing with them as they can potentially be a choking hazard. Excessive gnawing on the product can cause the wood to splinter and the paint to come off.
Overall, I would still recommend these blocks to anyone. Good quality and durable products are hard to come by. So I can foresee these being in our household for years to come.
Carylyn O.
My daughter got this for her birthday and has been playing with it still. They love the cylinder blocks because that is something that doesn't come in other block sets.
Lady L.
Purchased this as a Warehouse deal through Amazon. These colorful blocks were a steal for a warehouse product. They came in the original packaging and looked brand new. Don't let the reviews about the blocks being too small keep you from purchasing them. Mind you, that is just a personal pet peeve rather than an actual product con. The blocks came brightly painted and made from solid, quality wood. They are made to take the numerous falls to the ground and being tossed around by kid Also, the paint does not chip. The quantity and variety in shapes and sizes keep kids busy with developmental activities. Don't waste your money on another video game or electronic toy, your kids will love diving into these blocks with endless imaginative fun!
Ulysses O.
I purchased these for myself, an adult. They are immensely entertaining. I leave them out in a basket so guests can access them. Very fun at parties. Do not be dissuaded by your adulthood when contemplating purchase. Timeless fun, unleash your inner architect! The primary colors are bold and pleasing, too.
Lilac E.
Very nice set of colorful blocks. They a different shape so there are more possibilities. However my boy is only 15 month so I picked 10 blocks of different shapes and colors and he is playing with them, the rest so far I put away. Every week-10 day will change the colors and forms so he will gets familiar with them. Ut is a process of learning and playing - perfect way for a kid to learn.
Anthony K.
Purchased this set for my 3 year old daughter as a Christmas gift. We love the Melissa & Doug toys for the quality and durability. Blocks are colorful, Smooth, and the paint doesn’t normally wear off or chip. She incorporates these blocked with other building toys and action figures.
Rad R.
We mostly build balancing towers, sometimes fences for the cows. They are really good quality, nice and smooth, lighter than I expected. Almost too smooth- slippery buggers, they slide off when building structures but may wear down with use.
Carl A.
Lots of high quality wood blocks and vibrant colors and many shapes to allow my 4 year of granddaughter to develop motor skills and use her imagination to be inventive and creative . I think this type of "old fashioned" toy certainly rivals high tech stuff that is currently available for toddlers and they certainly have their place as training for tech use as they get older but blocks and building take planning too and are just plain ol' simple fun. Another plus - a no battery required toy !
Lisa Y.
My son received these for his first birthday. That was not the best decision as items still found their way to his mouth at that point and these are painted...and paint comes off. Just shy of his fifth birthday, however, these blocks are still one of my son's favorite toys. I love how I have been able to watch how his play and knowledge has developed with these blocks over the years. Just recently he built these beautiful symmetrical buildings for the first time and I was shocked! (a huge step up from where he started) My mom responded with, "Well you know they do grow up." I guess they do! Buying these at a young age let me truly appreciate how much he's learned.
Smart S.
This is one of those timeless toys that my son keeps going back to to play with. He was about 2-years-old when I ordered them for him for Christmas and now he's 4 and these are still one of his go-to toys.
Geoffrey Y.
My daughter has made it very clear since receiving these blocks last Christmas that she LOOOOOVES Building! They were a bit smaller than I expected from the pictures but they still stack nicely and have provided hours of building fun for my daughter.
Lodging T.
Great quality, my toddlers enjoy building then knocking them down with their trucks. So far they are holding up to the rough play well. The shipping and delivery was quick too. I probably will buy more in the future to have more blocks for them to build bigger towers with.
Verla S.
I bought these to donate to the nursery at my church. The blocks are solid and come in bright beautiful colors. When I walked by a few minutes later, a miniature builder was happily playing with them already. To me that means they passed the most important test--the little guys like them.
Barkin B.
Purchased these for when I go to visit my friend's 93 year old father. It is wonderful to see him take an interest in things at his age. He gets very involved with the shapes and stacking them "just so". The colors are bright and the blocks are a manageable size and very smooth. They are perfect for using on a table top. They are not too light that a slight breeze or bump of the table will knock down what is stacked. I know these are meant to be a children's toy, but they suit my purpose just fine. The box itself is sturdy as it is made from corrugated cardboard, and is well suited to contain and carry these blocks. I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
Jaden V.
This is a great value for a set of wooden blocks. Our daughter has had hours of play from these and the opportunities for creative play are endless.
JAck D.
This is a great set of blocks to supplement some you might already have. We had a small set from Circo, some handmade blocks, and some regular alphabet blocks. We bought these to introduce more interesting shapes. These are very small and could easily be a choking hazard for little ones, so I suggest waiting until at least age 2 or 3 before giving these to little ones. And still be sure to stay nearby just in case. Older kids put stuff in their mouths too, as most parents know!
Frances H.
Blocks are awesome! Kids can build and create! They can knock them over and build again. They can figure out the best way to build for a sturdier structure. Younger kids can practice stacking objects! Whether it's two blocks or ten blocks, it can help them meet milestones. Since these blocks are colored, kids can sort by colors! So much can be done with these whether it's play or learning. These blocks are a go to when we are buying birthday gifts for friends' kids. They are useful or all ages!!
Victoria S.
Awesome little block set! A little smaller than I thought they would be. The bag it comes in is really tiny and I thought there was no way they could all be in there, but they were. Bit of a pain to pick up, but I saw that coming. Kids I babysit and my own range from 18 months - 8 years old and all of them play with these.
Amanda S.
This is s Christmas gift for my 3 year old. She loves to build things from what I see at her preschool so I decided to gift her some blocks hopefully she’ll love them
Lindsey T.
We love Melissa & Doug toys in our house. Our 2 year old son tends to play with their brand the most. These blocks are perfect for little hands and stack very well. We have had a lot of fun building and knocking over towers. Great choice for little ones!
Bakken T.
I originally bought this from my 2 year old son. I think it is just a little more than he can handle but the blocks its self is great. sometimes when you run into cheaper wooden blocks the paint would run off lets face it our kids hands are not the cleans or dry for that matter. With the Melissa and Doug blocks though I didn't run into that issue. The blocks are great and are good quality an would recommend it to anyone
Anthony R.
Santa brought my daughter two boxes of these for Christmas. She had requested "blocks like they had back in preschool". She is 9 so I thought she was too old. I was wrong. She shrieked "Exactly what I wanted!" and has been building with them daily ever since. She definitely plays with these as much as her more (to me at least) age appropriate Lego sets. They are a nice quality and the paint seems to be firmly attached, which is great because I have a baby and he moves fast to get his little hands on things.
Kay C.
I love Melissa and doug products and these did not disappoint! they are made of very good quality and I love the brigt vibrate colors! I got them for my 2 year old who loves building and he will spend at least a good 1/2 hour building things with these blocks ( when your a mom of three anything that keeps them entertained longer than 15 minutes it awesome in our books! I def. recommend these blocks fro young children it really helps with motor skills and recognizing colors! thank you!
Christina O.
My boys love building stuff with these. It was a good purchase. I might even buy it again so that my boys can expand their block kingdoms.
July M.
These are small blocks, but that means they fit on the closet shelf easily when not in use, though they are not for kids who put blocks in their mouths! Go for 3 years and up. There's enough variety to keep a little builder making patterns on the floor or towers.
Meme W.
My grandchildren love these blocks to play with when they come over. They are three, four and six year old girls. The blocks are colorful and sturdy. Well made. I use the original box to store them. They are well loved and well used. Great value.
Michael H.
Traditional wooden blocks . No childhood is ever complete these. Despite fascination with flashing lights and tech, there is no greater educational toy that allowing a child to use imagination .
Grey E.
Some great blocks for the kids. They all play with them from my 3yr old to my 9yr old, block are always fun to build with. Good quality getting lots of play time.
Brianna J.
I bought these for my 10 month old daughter because they have the same blocks at the daycare at the gym and she always would play with them. She is too young to use them for building yet, but she loves pushing them around on the floor, putting them in the bucket we keep them in and pouring them all out of the bucket.
These will be a great toy for a long time, as she will be able to build things as she gets older. We have had these for 3 months now and she has played with these blocks more than any of her other electronic, noise making toys.
I don't have any negative remarks at all about this product, but make sure you buy a bucket or tub to keep them in because you will never get them all back in the box they come in!
Joyce L.
As other reviews have mentioned, these blocks are kind of small, but I love that about them because they fit little hands well (and are easier to store!). A lot can be built with the various shapes. The set lends itself to discussions about shapes and colors. Like all M&D products I've gotten, they seem well made.
Marissa P.
Bought these for a friend's baby and he LOVED them. Simple toys like these colorful blocks kept him busy for hours! I like that they are made in the USA, and they are great quality.
Sammy D.
These are perfect for my granddaughters ages 2 and 6.
Stephanie U.
Classic toy. My 5 month old loves them and I'm sure she'll continue to love them once she can do more than knock the blocks over
Celia T.
These blocks are very durable and traditional. They encourage children to be creative instead of mindlessly playing on social media. These were a great buy and have been used very much in my office at work with children.
Flores A.
My 5 year old son plays with these blocks every single day. They are great quality and nice colors. He builds tall buildings and castles, etc and there are plenty of blocks to actually build something as opposed to other sets that don't come with enough pieces to actually make anything which then forces you to buy add ons. We still have the box and we put them right back in there when he's done playing with them for easy clean up and storage.
Marlyn H.
Got these for my little g'daughter when she was 2. They're in daily use & still look like new. They're part of her art, math & learning projects. She makes her own adventures with them. They make a castle one minute & a race car course the next. Sometimes all the kids join in or the grownups because the fun never ends. When the power went out for a week she didn't even miss the fact there was no TV (she only watches about 30 min/day anyway) Not only that, but we can take her blocks with her where ever she goes.
Jenelyn M.
This is perfect for my LOs. There are plenty of each shape and it is the perfect amount of blocks. I love that they are made of wood, so they'll last through my kids and hopefully can be passed on. The smaller triangle cubes are a bit small, so be careful with little brothers or sisters who put things in mouths. I love Melissa and Doug products, and so do my kids
Ankit Y.
Towers everywhere.
My almost-two-year-old daughter loves building towers - and then knocking them down like the little monster she is while yelling "FALL!"
She builds tons of towers with these blocks, calls out the color and the shape, and has in general a grand ole' time playing with these blocks, both on her own and with her parents and friends.
I actually love that they don't interlock, as it's been really neat to see her stacking abilities grow over time - she went from just making piles, to now making towers as tall as she is in a matter of a couple weeks - and it's been great to see and track her fine motor skill progress with these blocks.
Bill S.
I loved blocks as a kid so I got these for my grandson. He loves them too. No electronics, no batteries, just simple fun. Well made and colorful.
Landell S.
Weirdly enough, I thought this toy would be the back up for cold days. Bought for Christmas for my3&4 yo. After all the presents were opened this was the toy they played with first and they kept at it for 2 hours! I was pleasantly suprised! No noise besides laughing, no flashing lights or gimmicky fad cartoons and this was the toy the ran to hug my husband and me for! Huh. Great price and sturdy toy AND they actually fit back into a sturdy cardboard box that has a carrying handle.
Pumpkin T.
Baby girl loves them! Bought when she was 18 months old and she will be two in less than 2 months. They are played with daily. She carries them around the house everywhere. They are heavy for her so she got smart and used her stroller .
London P.
I bought these for my daughter when she was almost 2 years old. She didn't really like them that much. Now that she's almost 3 she likes to spend a lot of time playing with these blocks. She likes me to join her and gets rather bossy by telling me, "Daddy, let's start stacking these blocks!" She builds all kinds of things, knocks them down, laughs, repeat. She knows all of the shapes and colors, which has made them a good learning tool. But remember, kids need your help to learn because without someone to teach them colors, shapes, and how to stack them, they are just blocks with little to no wisdom.
Rachelle W.
You can never have too many wooden blocks. These are going right in the bucket with the ones that are 12 and 15 years old from my bigger kids. These blocks hold up well for years and years of use and abuse from tumbling towers, exploding castle walls, and the occasional "MAMA! HE THREW A BLOCK AT ME!".
Tom D.
Yes these are the smaller pieces. But I purchased for young children and their hands are small. First quality, colors vibrant, good selection on shapes. And how could I miss on special deal $10. Yay!
Todd M.
These are great, sturdy wooden blocks. They appear to be some sort of compressed wood composite, as when I tried to drill into one for a project, it was remarkably resilient. There's some irregularities from block to block, but otherwise they are all well formed, the paint holds up to rough use, and they have a good heft to them.
Mercy J.
These blocks are awesome purchased for my 2yr olds birthday he enjoys them as well as my other kids. Ages 2 to 11
Thomas I.
So many blocks!! They are great. The kids have been playing with them like crazy and they still look new. I was hoping to use the packaging to store the blocks but there's a big hole on the box, so just be sure to have somewhere to store them. (We use Ziploc bags)
Shawn M.
Spend hours fighting off your children while you play and build with their blocks. Come in many different colors which may be appealing to the family dog. Comes with 100 pieces so you never have to worry about walking into a room without finding one. Also, I'd give it a 5/10 on the Lego scale; it really depends on which shape you step on.
Alicia K.
Got these for my daughter's easter basket. She loves them!!! They are on the small side, but that just makes storing them easier.
Summer D.
I own a daycare and this was perfect for color recognition and building imagination.
Wolf A.
At six months my daughter started to play with these (ie: hold them and put them in her mouth) now she bangs them together, and moves them from one pile to another - I foresee these getting lots of use in the future. Small enough for her to hold (some of the smaller blocks I keep in the box for when she is older). Nice bright colors. A great price - even if you don't get a lot of use out of them, which I doubt...
Jack S.
My 16 month old loves these. He's just learning how to stack big towers (he loved the shapes as a younger baby, but was more interested in seeing how far he could throw them than how tall he could stack them). They are a bit on the small side, but I like that there are a lot of them. The colors are great. It's a good buy.
Andrew S.
Great product for toddlers to keep them busy while they are playing in a group is a great way to share
Alison G.
As always, never disappointed with a Melissa & Doug toy! These are great quality blocks - heavy wood that will hold up through lots of play. There are a few different shapes and colors that allow the kids to build virtually anything they can think of. I've seen lots of similar wooden blocks priced much higher and are not as high quality. These are fantastic for the price and the kids all love playing with them. Nice basic toy that provides a lot of fun!
Graves S.
Must say of all the items I purchase, this little set of blocks has both adults and children interacting on the floor. They love playing with them. Wish there was a pink (girlie) set of these. Might have to get some wood and cut out something similar and make personalize blocks for the family. If you are looking for something safe and fun to entertain your little ones, this is the trick. You may end up right along side of the kids playing like you did back in the day.
Sarah C.
These are super good quality. My 4 year old loves to build herself all kinds of things with them. The assortment of shapes is a good amount and allows for all kinds of creativity in building. The paint has not chipped off so far and the box has held up to be a storage container for them so far. I would buy this again!
Burke A.
Good for older toddlers, as some of the pieces are small. These aren't gigantic block pieces for itty bitty toddlers.
Lover C.
My 2-year old son loves these and they keep him busy for an hour at a time. These are, however, fairly small. The biggest blocks are about 4" long and 1" wide. Still, you get 100 of them and it even comes in a practical case (which my son promptly destroyed). Recommended.
Michele S.
I have these in my art classroom and allow the students to play with them after they are finished their work. They are nice bright colors and are wonderful for the kids!
Matt F.
Wish they where bigger but I knew that when I ordered! They are just what I thought! Wish the box it came in would have doubled as a storage box but it just would not hold up for that!
Erin T.
Got these as a gift for my nephews. They love them! Cute colors and much better than plastic.
Athena I.
Great product. My little one loves to watch my build something then he knocks it down. Once he is older I have no doubt he will be a creative genius with them!
Diego B.
Hours of fun building with these blocks. I love classic toys like these. Kids use their imagination. So fun to see what they come up with!
Tricia N.
I have two sets of these...I am a teacher and the kids love them.....I highly recommend these for three on up....
Kristen K.
My son loves them. I had a set when I was much younger, these remind me of them!
Sandy A.
Purchased this for a friend's son. She told me the whole family (younger brother, herself, and her husband) spent a lot of time building together with these blocks. I think anything that brings a family together is worth a purchase.
Brenda G.
The quality of these Melissa and Doug blocks are super! Made a great Christmas gift for my son. We really enjoy any wooden toy made by this brand. Would recommend for age 3 and up.
Arie H.
These blocks are great. Very sturdy and brightly colored. They do look A LOT like some of the blocks used in the Melissa and Doug puzzle cube, so keep them separate.
Sarah G.
My 1 year old loves stacking things and these are perfect! She plays with these on a daily basis and stacks them 1 by 1 to make a single tower. We are working on colors with her and these are perfect for that as well. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!
Sunja D.
Grand children using these blocks to supplement the set their mother played with. The variety of shapes are helping the 2 year old to learn shapes. "What's this?" She asks before she uses a block in her latest building project. Have to have another container for storage because set "precisely packed" and one cannot ever get them back into the original configuration for storage in the original container.
Holli T.
Our daughter loves these. We use them with some other building blocks of larger sizes. The edges are not sharp and the color only comes off when bitten. Great product.
Nicole B.
My kids love these blocks. They play with them every day and it’s universal fun for my 2 year old and my almost 5 year old.
Melissa R.
Great price, great quality. My 19 month old son loves to stack, and of course, kick these blocks down. They are a lot of fun. Highly recommend.
Good D.
This is overall a good set of blocks. I've been so far happy with all of the melissa and doug stuff I've bought. I have a 17 month old and I bought these when he was about 1 year old. Mostly he just chewed on them and knocked my towers down, but at about 16 months he started understanding and now he is able to stack them. It's a good way for him to learn balance, coordination, and stacking things. He is very proud when he can get 5 or 6 blocks stacked up. Some of the pieces were a little small (for kids who put everything in their mouth) so I put those pieces away for awhile, but now he is playing with them without me worrying. I love building him towers at nap time so he can wake up to discover them. I'm thinking about buying an additional set just so I can build bigger towers.
Robery T.
Can't beat these blocks! Colors are great, size is perfect for little toddler hands! And nana hands too!
Geru H.

We bought this as a Christmas present but couldn't wait as we needed something to do as a family, to play with 5y.o. Needless to say we had hours of fun!

My son loves to play with these. He likes to stack the cylinder shaped ones in a tower. They're the perfect size for small hands.

Perfect for my young grandkids - 6, 3 and 18 months. They love to design buildings with these blocks. Will probably order another set!

It's a big hit with my 2 yr old (now 3) grandson! He loves building/stacking things. Loves to build his Meema her big house. lol Very well made and colors are bright/cheery.

One of the best child's toys in the history of toys. Well made, clean cuts, strong colors, good selection of sizes and shapes. I wish the box were a better storage case, but that's why they invented plastic shoe boxes. I keep a box on hand for emergency presents for small ones BD's and such and they are NEVER not a BIG HIT!

I ordered this set to go along with the 102 one inch cube blocks that I got for my grandson. I know these blocks will stand up to Melissa and Doug's standards of making great toys. I also have the wooden stacking train set that they make and I can't wait til my grandson is old enough to play with them!! I would definitely recommend their products for anyone interested in good quality toys that will withstand the test of time.

Before I decided to purchase this set for my 2.5-year-old daughter, I read the Amazon's reviews. The general idea I got from the reviews was the blocks were good but small. When the blocks arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with their solid quality and good sizes. The big pieces are about 3 inches long, and short ones are one inch long. They are perfect to build various objects. With this price, I have to say it is one of the most valuable toys I bought.

These are bright and very nice stackable blocks. They come in a box with a handle on the top for easy storage.
