Great idea to buy this!
Kayden C.
This is so awesome and fun to play with if you are wondering it does come with a magnet
Doc S.
My 10 year old son played with this for a solid month before his younger sister go to it. A great stocking stuffer.
Holden R.
Some people attempt to make their own DIY magnetic putty, but this stuff works amazingly well. It's more expensive and time consuming (and a bit dangerous if you aren't too careful) making your own magnetic putty, so I very much recommend just going with the pros and buying this trustworthy container.
Pacifico L.
As soon as he opened up his present, he was so excited to see that it was the magnetic putty! He has seen all of these putties, but he had never seen the magnet putty, making this an extra surprise. He immediately opened up the container and began messing with the super strong magnet cube within the box. He made the "snake" and kept twirling it around. I also bought him a 3D scanner for his 3D printer, but this got him immediately hooked-- so much so that we sat for a good hour just looking at it and playing with it, experimenting.
Matt B.
Purchased this item as a gift and it was a hit.
Liz U.
all these putty's are great gifts! the 5 yr old likes them and so did the 10 yr old. the adults liked messing with them too. they are very fun to play with. the magnetic quality adds to the fun.
John S.
My son loves this product,
Gigi S.
Bought this for my husband last year, and he's enjoyed it a lot, so got for my boss this year. He was intrigued and am sure he'll have fun with it, too.
Tina S.
i got this for my nephew for christmas and he LOVES it. it is really fun to play with and cool to watch it suck up a magnet
Kindle H.
I bought this as a gift and it's just so much fun!!! It slowly encompasses anything it is attracted to and it's fun to play with in your hands too. I love it!
Harrison S.
If you're looking for something to kill time and occupy your mind get this stuff. It's very creative. I bought 2 just so I could do more. Very fun stuff.
Arya S.
Does what it says, but you must be patient. This is not a fast mover, but yet is entertaining.
Carol M.
My grandson has not put it down since he got it for Christmas. Actually the whole family has had fun with it. Amazing stuff. Shipment was fast. Now I am getting ready to order the other colored ones.
Kyle L.
They is a great putty and brilliant idea. The putty is slight stiff, but it's still very workable, I also like the fact that the putty is made by people with physical and mental disability and there giving someone a job.
Larissa S.
Fun stuff. My 9 year old loved it.
Jalen R.
Very cool sensory tool. My sons love it!
Amy Z.
My son learned of this product on another site and I bought it's an early bday surprise. He has urged thinking puddy that he already uses as a sensory tool (he has Autism). He took this to school and showed everyone. We all enjoy playing with it. Great buy!
Michael P.
The picture makes the putty look more fluid than it really is but it is indeed magnetic silly putty.
Jonathan R.
Well worth the dollar spent.
Have fun explaining how it works to a ten-year-old!
Floyd R.
This stuff is fun to have and a great teaching and learning tool
The power of magnetism is demonstrated before your eyes.
Seems safe for older children (though I wouldn't eat it), and a fun novelty for the office.
Roland B.
Amazing stuff. I bought both the black and the silver so I could do side by side comparisons of the two in time lapse photography applications. This putty really looks like it has an agenda as it slowly creeps towards and envelopes the magnets. Very cool!
Zamon Z.
I would play with this stuff all day if I could. It's totally addicting!
Scott T.
This is a blast to play with...A fun take on an age old toy. The magnet is super strong too, so it really works well with the putty.
Pam C.
My grandson will love this... especially since he asked for it!
Izzy C.
I love this putty stuff. Its really fun to play with. You can stretch it, tear it, bounce it, do tricks, and more. On the package it said that you can shatter it, but I never really figured out how to. I recommend this to anyone. When I got it I showed my dad and he said that he wants to order some as well. You can study with it and it really does help you think. (Well for me) I even like to bring it to school. I'm thinking about getting more of it, too. The point is that I love this product.
Jarred E.
We've ordered this putty a few times. My son just loves it and it provides hours of entertainment.
Maui S.
I'm 48 years old and my niece showed me this stuff and I couldn't put it down. Great for kids, but a great stress reliever for us grown up kids too!
Breth O.
And the kids like it too. We gave a couple of these to our kids at Christmas and we have all had fun since. The included magnet is super powerful and makes a great toy by itself but together they are a lot of fun.
Kelly J.
A great fidget, and so much fun to watch with the magnet. A nice, pliable texture, and visually pleasing too.
Albertos F.
my nephew was fascinated with this for days!
Jenard M.
My son loves this stuff. It has been a great fidget for his busy hands and mind.
Jess A.
Pretty cool. Bought it as a gift and played with it a bit. Needs a stronger magnet though.
Kim J.
My 10 year old loved this. I wondered if he would just look at it funny wondering what it was. He played with it for a long time interested on how it worked. I thought it was quite interesting myself
Lady L.
My 10 year old grandson really enjoyed playing with this, couldn't put it down!
Stephanie M.
Arrived in perfect condition. My daughter took it to play with in a restaurant and all the tables around us had their eyes glued to the dancing puddy.
Al Rashidi
This stuff is so cool, very happy with this purchase. A little expensive, but then you get it and realise it's worth twice the price for the entertainment it provides.
Tracey B.
My daughter loves her Crazy Aarons Thinking Putty. It's amusingly strange.
Joan W.
Cool stuff. A little hard to get out of clothes, but there is a youtube video that teaches you how.
Johnny H.
This is my new favorite thing!
Keeps my mind and fingers busy when I need a distraction and doesn't leave a residue on your hands!
Connie M.
will literally pull the metal out of this putty. But very little at a time. Working the putty with your hands doesn't really get that much metal at all. Watching it swallow the magnet up is very fun.
Amy P.
I love cool science stuff. Especially thing that will get kids interested in science. It has had my daughter entertained for 1-3 hours a day, everyday, since it arrived 1 week ago today. Definitely gonna check out what other products Crazy Aaron has to offer.
Brian F.
This is a pretty cool gadget gift for the kids,... and adults alike! I must say, it has made an impressive addition to my nerdy stuff at the office. It gives you something to do during your down time, or those moments to need a mental break.
Donna C.
I really just wanted to see how cool this was. It was pretty fun. Don't expect to play with it non stop everyday. When it lost its flair I regifted it to my nephew and he loved it.
Elizabeth J.
This stuff is really fun to play with. It keeps the adults as entertained as the kids. My nine year old has requested more Aaron's putty after getting this for his birthday.
Lady J.
My 10 year old grandson really enjoyed playing with this, couldn't put it down!
Stephanie M.
Arrived in perfect condition. My daughter took it to play with in a restaurant and all the tables around us had their eyes glued to the dancing puddy.
Hunker T.
Fantastic product! Everyone likes to play with this.
Nurton F.
kids love it ! They are copying all the tricks they have seen on youtube. Def. a present for even teenagers !
Juliet L.
Good product, does exactly what it supposed to. I'm a total nerd, 41 years old, and had to buy two of them just so I can play with it
Tim B.
Wow, this stuff is fun. By a rare earth magnet (1" square, available on amazon for about $10) for some really fascinating effects
Dianna M.
My 15 year old son ordered this for himself after getting the glass putty for Christmas that he loved so much. The magnet that came in it is much larger than the one depicted in the picture. He's been really enjoying the unique properties of this magnetic putty.
Amy D.
Kids love this stuff. It helps is boys can't sit still in school and have trouble focusing. The teachers allow them to fight with the putty, which helps them focus better.
Flint Y.
I bought this for my favorite secretary as a thank-you gift. It is very stiff and hard to play with until it warms up, so I wouldn't suggest this product for young kids or anyone with hand/muscle problems that need to play with items like putty to keep mobility in their joints. She loves it and is constantly showing off what it can do.
Peter B.
This is our fourth thinking putty, and my son is crazy about it. He saw it on vat19, and couldn't stop talking about it. He loves the whole magnet thing. Perfect present for a 4th grade boy - come to think about it, my 17 year old son thought it was pretty great, too!
Lina I.
This is a great toy/fidget for my middle-school students. Strong magnet did make it challenging to open the container. Also would get dirty easily if bounced/dropped on the floor. Loved watching the putty "swallow" the magnet over time (very slow so would set it up and then come back in a few hours to see progress).
Father A.
My 10 year old ordered this after I described it to him from a visit I had to a local toy store. The stuff is phenominal. Tears, pulls, cracks, crawls, evelopes, bounces, and more. He has spent hours in just the first day observing it and trying new things. This putty is a great thinking toy and will give your 9 - 12 year old something to pontificate.
Brittany H.
Ordered this putty for my son who had been begging for it . I have to say it is pretty cool . And he loved it .
Jack H.
This was a christmas gift for my 7 year old. He and his 5 year old sister love it. They play with it the most out of all the toys they got. However, if it stretches too thin and gets on the carpet, clothing or sofa, its not coming out. :( Maybe an outside toy.
Ronald P.
My 8 yr old LOVES this putty! Magnet totally works, naturally you can't make the entire was move, just strands of putty pulled out from it. Bounces when rolled into a ball. Avoid getting ground into fabrics as it may not come off. Good fidget toy.
Karolyn Q.
My son loved it! Mom did not when he got it on his clothes! Beware it is impossible to get out. But my son had fun with it.
Momo P.
This stuff is fantastic. The best part is it doesn't stick to your hands like some others.
Shaun P.
Great goo for my son. He loves it and the carpet fears it.
Kevin W.
Oh this putty is great its my first time buying anything like this and im so impressed super nice hope to get more in the future.
Everything was perfect
Peggie W.
This stuff is great. Never dries out and the kids have so much fun with it. It comes with a strong magnet, and you can watch the putty engulf the magnet. My son even did a time lapse with it.
Susan H.
My son loves this stuff and has several varieties. Great price too!
Jessica H.
The product description states that, "your brain relaxes and opens up to all kinds of creative thinking." This could not be more spot on. I recently started working in a professional office, and have been looking for some things to decompress when I'm feeling stressed out or not focused. Rather than divert my attention to some internet forum or wasting way too much time browsing the endless amounts www, I am able to refocus with this thinking putty. Often times throughout the day, I find myself losing concentration or focus on my tasks. Once I realize that is the case, I pull this thinking putty out for a few moments. It actually captivates me and gives my brain a moment to reset.
Alex S.
It'll Be Like Putty In Your Hands It's called Thinking Putty because while you do whatever you want with it, your brain relaxes and opens up to all kinds of creative thinking. Need it? Yes. And you can also knead it. Or bounce it, bend it, tear it, stretch it, snap it, pop it. And it's magnetic. You get 3.2 oz of dark green putty with iron filings infused in it, plus a 1/2\" cubed ferrite magnet. Comes in a 4\" dia x 1-3/8\" tin. Deep black with subtle green sparkles, this slightly stiffer Thinking Putty has a mind of its own. Near a powerful magnet it comes alive.
George H.
Bought as a birthday gift for an 11 year old boy. It was a hit. Our boys like the stuff as well. Comes in many kinds. Just don't get it on your furniture!
Cindy C.
Surprisingly, the black doesn't come off on one's hands. It's another slimy product that is fun to play with until it gets dog hair permanently imbedded. I guess that if you don't have a fuzzy pet this stuff will last forever. The metal case is still around.
Justin G.
This stuff is fun. I would recommend finding a neodymium magnet to use if you don't have much patience. That said, the standard magnet isn't weak, but if you want to watch the putty engulf the magnet before your eyes, it will take some time. I regret nothing in this purchase.
Carly M.
Got this for a christmas present so haven't been able to really see it yet, however the can is larger than I expected. Comes with a magnet too!
Elizabeth S.
This is super cool! I want some for myself!!
David M.
There isn't enough font options to express how awesome this stuff is. We bought it as a stocking stuffer and everyone who sees it falls in love. This stuff is magical and you can spend hours and hours trying to pull yourself away from it. Just when we think we have pulled out of its grasp we rediscover it and get sucked back in. Who knew something so inexpensive could be so cool! Best. Stocking stuffer. Ever!
Aira S.
If you're like me, you like to keep busy even if it's just for the sake of giving your hand something to do. I love putty for this reason. It's a great stress reliever and something to do during long meetings. I got a tin of this for work and have now shared it with a number of co-workers who noticed it and asked for some. If you're familiar with Silly Putty, this is pretty much the same stuff (although a little softer), and the magnetic factor, although subtle, is quite entertaining.
Elder J.
I'm an adult, and I love this stuff. Took it to work, everyone played with it. Took it to my nephews house, they loved it. Watching it crawl up over a magnet is kinda creepy and sciency fun. It will completely swallow little Neo magnets that I have around, they absorb pretty quickly. I put it over a hard-drive voice coil magnet (super strong) and the putty actually started standing up in field lines after an hour or so. Very cool.
Baked Z.
Crazy Aaron makes quality putty. And this is no different! I love playing with this as does everyone I show it to. Sadly, I had to fight over this with my kids :). It comes with a magnet, which certainly adds to the fun. When covering it for a couple of days in its case, and then opening it, it is fully wrapping the magnet. Awesome stuff.
Thomas C.
I got this for my 11 year-old nephew. He loves it and tends to carry it around with him, it's a little addictive. I look for toys that have educational value without hitting him over the head with it. This appeals to his maker side and it's been a big hit. I also got him the glass putty which he also likes, but not as much.
It is very think, maybe a bit more than silly putty, but softens with use. The tins are nice because they make it easy for kids to put it way themselves.
Renegade J.
Fun stuff. My daughter loves it. Not as magnetic as you might think, though the magnet itself is pretty strong -- keep it away from other electronics. Crazy Aaron is good putty.
Happy F.
My son age 11 loved this, he hasn't stopped playing with it yet. (BDAY Present a few weeks ago)
Yes, it is Magnetic and comes with a strong magnetic!!!
If you flatten the putty out then just set the magnet on top the putty will grow up/climb and over the magnet, super cool.
I would def. buy again, or for others.
Think I am going to buy for my adult brothers for Christmas- think they would get a kick out of it too.
We are going to buy other Aaron thinking putty's, great product.
KC J.
My son plays and plays and plays with it. I have to admit... I do too. It's strangely compelling to get out, twist, mess with the magnet, watch the putty "creep" around it etc. Like original "silly putty" it gains from simplicity by bringing out imagination - we left the magnet on top of the OUTSIDE of the box, for example, and the next morning found the putty clinging to the lid in very "blob" like fashion. It performs pretty much exactly as claimed and is right up there with a barrel of monkeys, green army men and other toys that are only as good as you make them.
Matt C.
Super cool stuff. I will admit though, it's more fun to watch time lapse videos of it on YouTube, as it moves very slowly, particularly when it's cold. The magnetic properties are amusing, though not so much as just the fact that it's silly putty... I find myself frequently playing with it while working at my computer.
Definitely recommend getting some of this stuff, but I also recommend getting some magnets that are stronger than the one that comes in the tin.
Doc L.
This stuff is more viscous than expected. The patience required to watch this stuff move towards a magnet is more than you might expect (it is hard to mentally adjust for the time-lapsed video advertising). Even so, kids and adults are equally willing to wait, watch, and see. My 5 yr old girl and 7 yr old boy remain very excited about this week old "toy." MAJOR CAUTION! It is deceptively sticky. At first, it feels like no big deal. But, if you let is sit in one place for a few minutes it will really grab onto wood and cloth. I can't imagine what it might do if left on the carpet! I left it overnight on wax paper and it seemed to strip the wax right off. Luckily, I discovered this sticky tendency on a piece of scrap wood. Also worth noting, my girl thought it would be fun to put a clump of the 5mm neo magnet spheres into the mix ...200 of them (she was being supervised by mom). I spent an entire movie trying to separate the two species. I recommend both products. But, not together.
Anthony K.
This stuff is pretty cool. I purchased on a whim, as a stocking stuffer for my husband. He's been playing with it every day, putting it around the magnet to see how long it takes to cover it, adding paper clips in, just trying different things. It's interesting and a neat little "toy" to have around.
Harry B.
We have been having too much fun with this putty. We enjoy watching the reaction with the magnet. It was entertaining not just for the kids but for the adults as well. It does what it was intended to do. I chose to purchase Arron's putty over the cheaper imitation because of the reviews. The imitation magnetic putties are not controlled by our product laws and therefore you cannot be certain of what is in them and if it is really safe. Aaron's putty is made in the US and has to follow regulations. I expect this to last a while. It is still entertaining even after a few weeks; which is more than I can say about 90% of the toys my kids have had over the years.
Christian F.
Bought this for my oldest kids (25 & 22) for Christmas as stocking stuffers, a grown up version of silly putty. They love them, use them as "stress balls"
I love it so much I bought 3 more.
Spencer T
Im not a big fan of the small magnet that came with the putty, so I would suggest getting a separate magnet to use on this putty. I happen to have a neodymium magnet (which you can see in the pictures and video) that is SUPER strong. The pictures and video speak for themselves. All I would add is that, with a little patience, the putty is simple to remove from the magnet (a very strong magnet, at that) and does come off entirely and is 100% reusable over and over again. Its just like regular putty, but will work with magnets. It does leave an oily film on your hands/magnet after playing with it, but it comes off with water just fine.
